Read before you build on an AI agent identifier
What 27 published initiatives on agent identity say, and do not say, about the string that names an agent, its key and who answers for it, with the events that would change their standing.
A map of 27 initiatives — DNS, payments, identity, traffic, certification, access management — read in their own texts. Report in English, PDF and CSV. Briefings in English, French or Spanish.
First 5 orders, until 20 November. Pay on delivery: the PDF, in your organisation's name, comes by email with the invoice.
What you get.
- The report: one sheet per initiative, the identification chains each one defines, a summary table, what is at stake, the method.
- The precedents: two earlier contests between rival technical systems, read in their own sources — electric lighting and distribution (1880s–1930s), and the Internet protocols against OSI (1978–1995).
- The data: every identifier in a CSV file, every quoted passage in a second one, and a README that defines each column. The data set is published under CC BY 4.0.
- The sources: the 197 documents the study rests on, each with its URL, reading date, SHA-256 and the archive.org link of the version read. So you can run your own monitoring afterwards.
- The signals to watch: for each initiative, the events that would change its texts or their standing, where they would be seen, and the text of procedure that defines them where there is one. No forecast.
- A note on the movements, on 31 January 2027: what changed in the texts and their standing since the edition, sent by email.
